The ground rumbles as 1,500 bison stampede the Buffalo Corrals at Custer State Park every fall in a breathtaking roundup of the park's publicly-owned herd by skilled cowboys and cowgirls. Preceding this climactic event is a weekend of arts festival events held at the festival grounds at the Peter Norbeck Visitor Center, featuring South Dakota's finest artists and craftspeople, various entertainment and a chili cookoff.
