Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this resort is situated in a mountain valley in Custer State Park. Amidst a forest of pine and spruce trees, overlooking Sylvan Lake the area surrounding the hotel is full of hiking trails and recreational activities. The lake is a great place for fishing, swimming or paddle boating. Guests choose between lodge rooms and cabins with a variety of sleeping layouts. Some cabins are equipped with full kitchens. A lounge and a restaurant are located in the lodge.
